Chapter 462: I Love You Because...
The MC (Master of Ceremony) was a very popular anchor in Esteria and he made the reception fun. There were some games and a free flow of alcohol.
Talia held Arthur’s hand as the slideshow of the pictures from their childhood played. Both had a whole family for their birth and first birthday... but gradually their family got smaller as they lost them. Arthur lost his mother and his brother. She lost both her parents and Cyrus.
Talia was glad Arthur chose her family pictures that had Cyrus with them. He was her family, but he was prematurely taken from her. And she must remember him and be grateful to him.
As the time for the first dance ( in their case the second dance since they already had a reception in Rosandale ), Arthur spoke to the MC and he announced that the groom wants to give a surprise to the bride.
Talia wondered what it was but she found out what it was when they fixed the microphone for Arthur and they brought in a guitar.
He’s going to sing a song! But which song?
Arthur struck some chords in the guitar and turned to look at her with a smile. The perfectly tailored suit, the guitar in his hand, that mesmerizing smile... Everything made Talia fangirl over him.
And then his smooth voice, like velvet rolled making butterflies in her stomach.
"I dedicate this song to my better half, my best friend and the lover of my soul – Talia," he cleared his throat.
"I love you because you understand, dear..."
He sang and Talia placed her hand over her heart as she accepted the feelings he sent her through that song. She loved that song that had very meaningful lyrics and she wanted to join him.
