Chapter 315: A Genuine Mistake And a Playful Teasing
Talia and Arthur, didn’t want to let each other go and danced for another song. Talia remembered that day they danced in her apartment for this same song. Back then she never thought that they’d come this far. There still are some hurdles before them that they need to overcome, but as a couple they have grown a lot closer and she loved it.
The overwhelming joy and her love, spilled through her eyes, making her more beguiling. With the warm lightings in the hall, combined with the warmth their intimacy brought and the way her eyes spoke volumes of her love for him, Arthur really forgot where he was. This kind of feeling was a rarity for him who always tired to be aware of himself in public. As the the song was going to end, he bent for a kiss.
He wanted to express his love for her; in a simple way, just like she expresses with her eyes. She loved his kisses after all!
Talia came to her senses only when his lips were just a couple centimeters from hers and turned her head immediately. Her heart beat so fast, she thought it would burst. Looking at his eyes, she felt disappointment. She could already hear the murmurs from around her, from the people around them. Some of them were sneering at her. Or that’s what she thought.
I knew he’d do something to get back at me for dancing with Walter. But isn’t kissing me in public like this going too far? Why? Why is he getting jealous for no reason and tries to humiliate me in public?
Talia’s throat went heavy and she didn’t want to look in his eyes anymore. If she did, she’d have seen Arthur looking at her apologetically. She didn’t want this to be talked anymore than this and decided to act like this never happened.
Leaving his embrace with her polite smile she perfectly faked, she left the dance floor and started conversing with others who chatted with her. She knew acting casual will mitigate the situation very easily and that’s what she did. But her heart was still beating like crazy wondering how terrible the papers are going to write about her and her palms went chilly.
Just when the issue with Cyrus is resolved, she felt like she’d be trapped in another scandal and this time it would assassinate her character.
