That evening there was a dinner with all the nobles who attended the hunt and Talia using her sickness as an excuse, decided not to attend. Although she felt better immediately after she left the hunting grounds away from the sounds of popping rifles, she didn’t feel like meeting those people then. No one asked her twice to consider attending the dinner either. She thought it was Louis who had ordered no one to disturb her.
Her great grandmother sent a special strengthening soup from her kitchen and Talia had to bear with it and drink it although she didn’t like even the smell of it. She was under strict orders from the Dowager not to get down from her bed for two days.
