If Rebecca was let to speak, she’d speak for the entire night.

Rebecca looked at her phone and sighed once more. She really felt bad.
Poor Talia! May be if she had a mother or elder sister or an aunt, they’d have taught her these things. She never had an elder woman - a mother figure in her life. That’s got to be hard for her.
Talia went back to the room with gentle steps and through the way she imagined Arthur without confidence. His face popped in her mind with his eyes without the luster. He did everything the same and he even smiled the same, but that smugness in his face was no more. What replaced the smugness was perturbance and disquietude.

Talia felt her skin crawl up. She sometimes doesn’t like that smug grin on his face and want to smack that smugness off, but she’d prefer smugness on his handsome face rather than perturbance.
But she had faith that her Fred won’t be that weak and lose his confidence that easily.
She closed the bedroom door and noticed that Arthur was still lying in the same position as when she left him. Sensing her return, he scooted in as she always preferred sleeping near the door.
"You okay? You’re not in pain anywhere, right?" he asked and his tone held no mirth and Talia did not like him sad like this.
