Chapter 114: The Least Expected call
Talia was pleased with herself with what she had done that almost broke the Internet in her country. The story about the engagement has been successfully sunken to oblivion and everyone was discussing about her.
Not all of them were good, but there seemed to be a lot of people who questioned Prince Edward’s motives in meeting with Talia Brunton and demanded a statement from the royal family.
Talia knew whatever statement the Royal family of Esteria puts forward will be accepted by majority of the public: if the Royal Family releases a statement that is.
For now the wise move for them is to keep silent and let this story get buried by another viral story like it always happens. A video of a cute cat inside a cup might trend the next day! Talia also decided to not give any official statements from her side regarding this.
She’s in contact with her grandfather and she felt like that was enough for her right now. In a couple of months she will be able to see her grandfather in Rosandale even if Esteria doesn’t let her in. From their place, they can reach Rosandale within a couple of hours through air and her grandfather will be able to make that travel.
She will get back to Esteria one day and she will not give up on that fight, but she needs to play a patient game. It seems like Fred has some plans of his own too.
She knew everything will work out well.
But still Talia had that anger festering deep down in her heart.
’That flipping Fred went on getting engaged and he isn’t talking to her still! He didn’t even give her a heads up! Does he think I don’t matter anymore now that I’ve confessed to him?’
Only after clearing the troubles around her, did Talia vaguely remember Joe’s arrival. She almost forgot about it since she was dealing with herself and the house was so quiet.
