Chapter 89: Settling Back
As she laid on the bed looking at the ceiling, she didn’t know why she even bothered to give advise to that Lambert.
It’s not like her to care about other’s personal life.
Talia almost fell asleep laying on the bed, but she forced herself to stand fearing that slimy Lambert would leave without getting her phone back.
Rubbing her eyes, she opened her bedroom door and was relieved seeing Lambert still sitting on the couch.
"Give me your phone. I need to check if Rebecca is rescued," she held out her hand and Lambert liked back at her like she was an alien with her outer skin shedding.
"MaryAnn...this is you, right?" he asked standing up putting his hand in his pocket, "Or did the lizard people take full control of you?"
"You talk a lot, you give advice... Shitty advice, yet still advice indeed... And now you are even worried for your friend? I thought you were some emotionless orangutan!"
Talia didn’t mind that guy who was six feet and eight inches tall, looming over her with a punchable smirk on his face and just plucked the phone from his hands.
"Or... Are you being possessed by some spirit? Should I call a priest for an exorcism just to be safe?" he continued and was met with the door, once again.
"Oy! Don’t browse through my history," he shouted and Talia felt a shiver run through her spine hearing that.
’Eww! What does he do with his phone?’
