Chapter 303: Prince Eros - Part Two
The time for words was over.
Kir was finally forced to take another layer off of his self-imposed restrictions as he put Kangetsu into rifle form.
His first act was to throw it into "thunder" mode as he dodged backward, blasting out a cone of pure force that spoiled the flight of the weapons before he swapped to ice.
He was able to freeze two black weapons in midair, and because his gun generated true ice, the weapons did not simply annihilate the spell-formed ice on contact.
But Prince Eros was perfectly willing to sacrifice his weapons as he lashed out with Black Arsenal.
Kir dodged a double-bladed scimitar and barely managed to shoot down a wickedly barbed spear. Yet as the weapons used against him grew fewer, the attacks only grew fiercer as he was backed further away from his objective.
Then the Prince took to the air.
The instant he did, the weapons Kir had frozen ceased to exist before he manifested them around himself.
The message was clear, simple tricks weren’t going to do.
Switching Kangetsu-Dar to its energy beam, Kir let out a shot that traced through the air. The first strike managed to carve through the haft of the spear construct, but it still left the bladed portion intact. As it traced toward him, the Prince quickly moved his sword into place, blocking the beam with actual metal as he whipped out all six of his weapons in arcs that would intercept Kir no matter which way he tried to dodge...
But Kir had expected this.
