Chapter 278: *Like Succubi Do - Part 1*
"This better not be someplace shady," Kordia grumbled as Stella led the way through the back alleys of the 4th District.
Unlike the rest of the city, which maintained a cohesive design, the new 4th District was a riot of styles, colors, and smells that merged influences from Gra’Rhuel with more slapdash versions of the city’s architecture.
"Oh trust me, it only looks shady from the outside," Stella teased as the three of them reached their destination.
"Welcome to the Horns and Tail!"
A surprisingly bright sign that had been clearly enchanted depicted the titular horns and tail and little else.
"I should have known the succubus would take us to a brothel," Kordia shook her head.
"Not just any brothel!"
As soon as Kordia opened the double-doors, a sultry voice called out "Welcome to the- Mistress Stella!"
"Mistress?" Kir asked.
"I may have helped them set up the place." When Kir continued to stare, Stella added, "What? You said no brothels in the house. Not ’no brothels’ period."
As if on cue, the half-dozen people waiting on the ground floor amidst cushions and divans shapeshifted into demon form, crowding around "Mistress Stella" as they gave her a fawning, sincere welcome.
