Chapter 130: *A Place For Fun - Part 1*
As Kir’s training continued, it was Stella who homed in on the clearing, using her familiar bond.
"There you two are," she said, instantly laying on the snark as she looked around at the destroyed trees. "The fuckin’ was that good, huh?"
"We didn’t-! This was from training!" Kir responded, having barely recovered the energy to be flustered.
"Hush," Amarena said to Stella. "Where are the others?"
"You want me to hush or tell you where the others are?" Stella teased back.
Amarena crossed her arms and smirked, gesturing with her arm. Kir, meanwhile, stood. He was about done with meditating on his wrath... trying to infuse the mana he was already used to compressing with his sense of self.
"Fine," Stella relented, "They’re staying in town, but there’s also some soldiers there. It’ll be easier for the three of us to just camp out."
"Soldiers?" Kir asked. He’d passed through the town with a caravan long ago, and there had been no hint of a particularly martial presence outside of the usual guards.
"Yep. I thought about sticking around, maybe having a little fun with all those burly soldier types... but I like the company here better," she sat, disappearing her wings as she stretched languidly. "Gods know you’ve got plenty of wood," she licked her lips, her eyes flicking over to Amarena."
"Hah!" Amarena barked out a laugh. "So you finally noticed, eh strangeling?"
"Bitch, I noticed the moment I smelled you," Stella stuck her tongue out. "’Course we haven’t had a demon-only night since you watched me roleplaying Kir’s boyfriend." She jerked her thumb in Kir’s direction... then added a few unnecessary pumping motions.
