Chapter 56: *Feeling the Heat - Part 1*
The sound of panting woke Kir.
The first thing he noticed was the sun pouring into the room. He was looking down towards the foot of the bed, and something shifted beneath the blankets that he didn't remember ever getting under. Had Rain somehow gotten the sheets over them?
The second thing he noticed was Kordia, awake and staring into his eyes, her own green-gold eyes hazy. This close, he could see little purple flecks within them that matched his own. The look in them was hungry... a familiar sort of hungry he'd seen in only one other person: Stella. Only this hunger felt deeper, more aflame... not the constant burn of Stella's starved desire, but a roaring inferno that wanted to consume him.
"Kir..." she said with a wavering voice, before surging forward and kissing him full on the mouth, her tongue prying past his teeth until they were making out hard and fast. The hand that caressed its way up his chest to rest on his shoulder was slick with sweat, and as more of Kordia's naked body became apparent, he could see that she was drenched with more than mere sweat.
What the hell was going on?!
It was definitely a nice way to wake up, but... Oh no.
