"The Human Clan are my children; I must plot their future myself."
Fu Xi, feeling uneasy, said, "You’re contesting the position with Heaven and Earth."
"So what if I am?"
"Would the Taoist Ancestor ever allow you to snatch the authority of Heaven and Earth?"
"How would I know without trying?"
"You’re being reckless." Fu Xi pondered for a moment, then solemnly said, "Sister, have you considered that maybe Heaven and Earth don’t need a main character at all? When the Dragon Clan was strong, they had the opposition of the Phoenix Clan. When the Witch Clan was strong, they had the Demon Clan as opponents. This is balance; the Heavenly Dao never intended to establish a main character of Heaven and Earth."
Nuwa nodded her head, smiling as she said, "I know, but I still want to try. If the Human Clan doesn’t become the main character of Heaven and Earth, their weakness will only make them prey for other clans, and that I do not wish to see."
