"I’m talking about you." Shen Qing had just arrived and wanted to chat with her son and daughter-in-law, but she didn’t have time to waste words with these disgusting people. When it came to arguing, after being oppressed by her mother-in-law and elder sister-in-law for so many years, Shen Qing’s level at arguing was unmatched by ordinary people. She had long been trained by her mother-in-law. Xie Lingzhi couldn’t out-argue her at all.

Besides being angry about this woman hitting her son, she also felt disgusted. Mei Shuping, in her eyes now, was like a fly, making people sick at the sight.

Liang Hongmei was concerned about her daughter, and after the people left, she hurried to check her daughter. "I didn’t notice, mom. Why are you here?" Han Yi quickly pulled her hand from his face. Besides Lin Wan’s touch, he was not used to even his own mother’s touch.

"A few days ago, Lijuan and Lawyer Xu came here for a case. All the restaurants were closed for the New Year, so they ate instant noodles every day, which upset her stomach, causing acute appendicitis. I came here yesterday. Didn’t expect you guys to be here too. I just ran into Xiao Wan’s parents at the hospital entrance and found out what happened." Shen Qing explained, immediately helping Lin Wan to the bed seeing her condition.

"Mom, how is Lijuan now?" Lin Wan didn’t expect Lijuan to also be in the hospital.

"She had the surgery a few days ago and is almost recovered. The doctor said she can be discharged tomorrow."

"Unfortunate timing. If Lijuan knew her brother and sister-in-law were here, they wouldn’t have to eat instant noodles every day, they could have stayed at the apartment." Liang Qian commented.

"Yeah, had I known, I would’ve asked her to contact you guys." Shen Qing knew Han Yi and the others were here, thinking they would leave after the New Year.

"Why such work during the New Year?" Liang Hongmei asked with concern.

"That’s how it is for lawyers," Shen Qing also felt for her daughter, having to travel far during the New Year.

Liang Qian brought porridge and dishes for Han Yi and Lin Wan, especially stewing a chicken soup for Lin Wan from early morning, making it particularly light, and the meat exceptionally tender, as the doctor advised she could eat a bit of meat to aid recovery.

After eating, Han Yi was called out to the hallway by Lin Guozhi, leaving Lin Wan in the ward with three moms chatting with her.

"After your godmother told us, your father and I rushed over overnight. We still don’t know what happened. How did this all happen so suddenly?" asked Liang Hongmei.

"It all happened unexpectedly, but Ye Qingmei Langchi is involved in this," Lin Wan briefly explained the situation to her mom and mother-in-law.

"Ye Qing again? That Ye Qing is becoming more and more ruthless and evil." Liang Hongmei got furious upon hearing Ye Qing’s name. The Ye Family had always been a thorn in their side.

"Mei Shuping’s son?" Shen Qing felt a chill at the thought of Mei Shuping’s other son wanting to kill her son. "Are you not living well at the Mei house?"

"No, mom, we’re fine at the Mei house. Old Mr. Mei and Mrs. Mei treat Little Star very well." Lin Wan didn’t mention the chaotic affairs at the Mei house to spare them the headache.

The two moms felt relieved now that they saw that the three were only slightly injured and were otherwise alright.

Shen Qing hadn’t told Lijuan about her visit to avoid worrying her, and once she understood the situation here, she went to inform her daughter.

Han Yi discussed the current situation with Lin Guozhi, advising him not to worry because he had a plan.

"Did you really hit Mei Langchi?" Lin Guozhi’s concern was about that.

Lin Guozhi sighed and said "Impulsive," though his tone wasn’t blaming, it was more like approval.

Lin Guozhi, having made up his mind, told Han Yi, "Do whatever you need to. Your mom will stay here. I will leave tonight. Additionally, go to the photo studio and get some pictures taken for me."

After calming Xie Lingzhi, Mei Shuping went with her to get the child’s check-up. Han Yi’s punches were measured, causing no bone injuries, and though bruised, they were just superficial injuries, yet the child couldn’t get up.

Mei Shuping was worried about this mess and also needed to entertain Han Yi’s in-laws who had arrived. After organizing things for Xiao Chi, he quickly called home to inform Mr. Mei about Lin Guozhi’s arrival.

The old couple had been upset at home after learning their two grandsons had fought, too ill to go to the hospital, let alone out for meals, and with no maid now, Xiao Zhi at the hospital, the task fell to the second sister-in-law.

Now with Shen Qing in Lin Wan’s hospital room, his presence would only be awkward, so he called the second brother to ask the second sister-in-law to hurry back and prepare.

After talking with his father-in-law, Han Yi found an excuse to leave, got home to take their camera, and found Chen Haichang to help him with photos.
