Chapter 1254: I Don’t Think There’s Any Need at All
Noah Yates was clearly shielding Scarlett Yates.
Old Master Yates snorted coldly through his nose, "Your daughter is yours; if you want to educate her, there’s nothing wrong with that, just don’t play favorites."
Noah Yates agreed with a smile, turning to see the familiar faces filling the room, all descendants of the Yates Family. It wasn’t easy for this large family to gather together usually, and upon meeting this time, everyone was eagerly chatting in low voices. Only Scarlett stood dazedly beside him, looking somewhat pitiful.
Feeling a wave of sympathy, he reached out and pulled Scarlett in front of Old Master Yates, "Dad, this is Scarlett’s first time meeting you. You haven’t seen this granddaughter in over twenty years, what good things have you prepared for her?"
"Why are you in such a hurry? Once the verification results are out, if she really is Yates blood, she won’t miss out on anything, will she?" Upon seeing Scarlett’s face, Old Master Yates frowned.
He was deeply dissatisfied with Autumn Spencer, and even after so many years, seeing this face so similar to Autumn’s still filled him with disgust.
"Dad, let’s forget about the hospital verification. I really don’t think it’s necessary," Noah Yates was a bit unhappy. He genuinely had feelings for Autumn Spencer and truly loved her back then. Old Master Yates’ doubt about Scarlett was essentially casting doubt on Autumn’s character.
Autumn had given her life for him—she didn’t have to take that fatal car ride.

As soon as he finished speaking, Old Master Yates erupted, his face darkening, and he said coldly, "Do you think our Yates Family is some small-time household open to anyone? Besides, the girl herself has already agreed, what more is there to say? "Also, it’s almost time for lunch, go fetch that girl Rose, since the whole family is here today, Mr. Mason, educate your daughter another day."
With a few words, Old Master Yates settled all matters. Although Noah Yates was a bit unhappy, as Old Master Yates had pointed out, the matter had already been agreed to by the parties involved, and there was no reason for him to stop it.
