Chapter 1381 - 1383:
Zhao Guangran excitedly sent off the last girl, and was ready to return to port.
"Finally, today is over." Dai Limin dared not let his eyes wander.
It’s not that the girls who boarded today weren’t good-looking; there were a few who were quite pretty. But forget about chatting them up; seeing them approach made him turn away quickly.
Otherwise, that kid Gong Jiaming would definitely make him regret it terribly.
"Yeah, how was the playtime today?" Zhao Guangran took the drink bottle which Dai Limin had already opened.
How was it indeed? Dai Limin chuckled, "Pretty good."
"Really good. Saw dolphins."
"Also saw sharks." Beauties, so many beauties.
Dai Limin truly felt like crying; although back home, people often gathered to play, it was never as exciting as this.
He didn’t expect that coming to the United States would allow him to see so many things.
Dai Limin stated this is the happiest study trip he’s taken in recent years.
Unfortunately, even with so many beauties on the yacht, he could only look.
"Yeah, it seemed like there were too many people, and all sorts of chatter." Gong Jiaming was still dizzy, he initially thought they would go home early after watching the fireworks.
Especially since Gong Jiaming had to keep an eye on Dai Limin, it was even more tiring.
"Truly meaningless." Given the time, Gong Jiaming would’ve rather been at home reading.
If nothing else, lying on the beach seemed better. Hmph, why did he have to go out, wasn’t it because of someone’s relationship?
"Do you want to go out to sea again in a few days?" Gong Jiaming was all sorts of unhappy, but Zhao Guangran didn’t enjoy it either.
Zhao Guangran really wanted to cry; according to his plan, if Gong Ruini and the others hadn’t boarded, he could have gone wild with Dai Limin for a day.
As for Gong Jiaming, Zhao Guangran never thought it was a problem.
Going out to sea again in a few days, Gong Ruini felt quite tempted after hearing Gong Jiaming talk about it.
Previously, she hadn’t thought about it much, worrying that Zhao Guangran’s events might be too extravagant, naturally declining to go.
She didn’t expect it to be quite low-key, so she certainly was tempted.
Even if we can’t swim in the sea, at least we can see the beauties, right?
If nothing else, isn’t there delicious food to eat?
Most importantly, being on a yacht means taking some photos to show off.
"Sure, I’ll go too." Gong Ruini bounced with excitement.
What? No way, Zhao Guangran was stunned, why is Gong Ruini also insisting on going?
If she goes, wouldn’t her brother follow along too?
Once they all go, would it be fun on the yacht?
No matter how many beauties are invited, they would just look from the sidelines; wanting to have further activities is definitely out of the question.
Dai Limin glanced at Gong Ruini, regardless, even if Zhao Guangran organizes another event next time, even if it becomes more rowdy, even if all the attendees are his usual favorites.
He wouldn’t attend, though he can guarantee he wouldn’t fall for those women.
But would Gong Jiaming believe him? Even Zhao Guangran, who tries to persuade him, won’t believe it.
Maybe, in their eyes, Dai Limin is just a playboy.
Claims of liking Gong Jiaxin are all lies; ultimately, he won’t end up with her.
Of course, Dai Limin couldn’t say he had no thoughts; after all, their perspective on him is rooted in distrust, but what good is being upset? "No, I’m not going."
What, Dai Limin isn’t going? Gong Ruini was stunned, or rather, everyone was, "You, you’re not going?"
Gong Jiaming set aside his Japanese book; although it was only a few days, and he was learning on his own, not expecting to learn much Japanese, he would learn as much as possible.
At this moment, Gong Jiaming wondered if he had burned his brain reading Japanese books these past few days, or had the sun made him foolish while out today.
"You’re not going to Brother Guangran’s yacht party?" That doesn’t sound right; yesterday when it was mentioned, Gong Jiaming remembered he was quite happy about it.
Could it be after a day out, he found it especially meaningless or felt monitored, leading to his unhappiness?
"I think I should focus on work." Dai Limin is someone with pride, he realized that even if his surname is Dai, so what?
Even if he were the eldest brother, expecting these folks to interact more wouldn’t happen.
What the second brother said was right; instead of wasting time getting angry about these things, it’s better to focus on self-improvement.
As long as he has the capability, he won’t need to fear those disapproving looks and whispers.
But can he really catch up with them? Dai Limin grew anxious; he was just beginning while they were already soaring.
Even if he could grasp this opportunity, on what basis wouldn’t they also seize it?
"You’re going to read books?" No way, Gong Jiaming was astonished.
Dai Limin’s reluctance to attend the yacht party was somewhat understandable, after all having eyes on you could spoil such gatherings.
The problem is, this guy who evidently loves fun, now claims he’s going to read books; what a shock.
Dai Liren rubbed his temples, showing disbelief, when did this kid decide to study hard?
Though clever, this younger brother adored play, whenever there was fun, studying wasn’t on his mind.
Why, of all days, does he claim he’s going to read today, did something provoke him?
Dai Liren’s gaze sharpened; while he thought it best for his brother to be driven to work hard, bullying wasn’t acceptable.
"Brother, do you think it’s too late to start striving to catch up to them?" Dai Limin asked softly.
Though not explicitly saying who, Dai Liren could guess whom he referred to.
To his foolish brother’s query, Dai Liren truly was at a loss.
"It’s challenging, really not just a simple challenge." If it were someone else, Dai Liren might offer encouraging words.
Telling him that with effort, he would surely catch up.
The issue is that the pace of those he wishes to match is unfathomably swift, leaving Dai Liren unsure how to console.
Okay, you see, even the second brother views it as a mission impossible, he chuckled bitterly, "Seems I’m really useless."
"How could you be useless if you don’t strive?" Observing his suddenly dejected brother, Dai Liren raised his voice sharply.
"No one is formidable at the start; everyone develops gradually over time."
"I don’t know the outcome of your efforts, but I know one thing: if you don’t try, you won’t achieve success."
Yes, he would only complain endlessly, but does it help? Nobody would see him as brilliant, they’d only regard him as reliant on family, an incessant complainer.
"Thanks, brother." Constantly whining is just like grandpa’s coward, right? He definitely isn’t a coward; he’ll show everybody for sure.
