Ryan took a deep breath, the air tasting of ozone and victory. He felt a wave of exhaustion so heavy it was a physical weight, but beneath it was the powerful, thrilling buzz of having survived the impossible.

The new Vassalage Contract appeared next to the one for the Crimson Banner. He now had two of the Sector’s strongest factions working for him. It was a strange thought.
A few weeks ago, he was just a guy in a pod trying not to get eaten by angry space lizards. Now, he was a warlord with his own vassals. Life came at you fast in the god Verse.
He was also incredibly close to leveling up again. The Golems and the Iron Wolves had given him a massive amount of god Points. He was on the very edge of reaching Level 10.
