Brittney quickly bent down, picked up her mic, and yelled: "990 Trillion! Going once!!"
Her gaze darted between Victoria and Matilda, both of whom were completely lost in their thoughts. She wasn’t even sure if they had heard her, so she yelled again:
"990 Trillion! Going twice!!!"
Still nothing. No one dared to breathe, let alone bid.
"Sold! To Queen Josephine of the Beastify race!" Brittney yelled triumphantly. "Queen Josephine, are you paying now or later?"
Josephine looked at Sunny, who turned to the lady holding the POS machine.
"Swipe the card," he said.
The lady trembled as she shakily swiped the card. The entire hall was so silent you could hear a pin drop. Everyone was waiting for those two words.
