Chapter 50: Anything Is Possible!!
The two women sat in silence on the couch, their gazes locked. After a few tense seconds, Josephine broke the quiet.
"So you’re telling me Matilda betrayed Sunny? And all this time, Sunny was just a pawn in her game? And he found out, which led to their breakup?"
Star nodded.
"But then why?" Josephine frowned, confusion etched on her face. "He’s the king, so why did he run away after they separated?"
"That, I don’t know," Star sighed. "Matilda was his childhood friend; they practically grew up together. She wasn’t such a... a bitch back then. I don’t know why she changed so much."
Josephine stared at her for a moment, then asked in a low voice, "Did Sunny love her?"
Star was quiet, carefully choosing her words before responding, "I won’t lie to you... Sunny loved her. But not anymore." She stood up. "I think you know if I’m telling the truth or... if I’m not."
Josephine watched as Star turned and walked toward the door.
"Bella—"
"—Don’t call me that." Star stopped in her tracks. "My name is Star. I’ll be in the training ground."
With that, she walked away.
