Chapter 308: Battle Hungry
"What the hell is up with him...?"
"Creep..."
The ghosts at the front of Les Murmures avoided him like the plague. Behind his back, they taunted him. Dasha never paid it any mind until today.
Today when the world felt so, so wonderful.
"Do ghosts such as yourselves understand the concept of death?"
His question was pointed. It caught the dozen spirits by surprise. Puzzled glances of fear followed.
"I see. I am glad I am able to offer that to you."
When he walked away, this time, there was no one to taunt him.
Dasha opened the door and entered the mansion. His presence was immediately noted by those loitering at the lounge. The Whispers were known for their intelligence gathering, not strength.
The player that should have been a newbie did not feel like one. A foreboding chill went down their spines. Fear, tension, and the thought of death, if only for an instant. There was no killing intent. There was only the intent to be superior. The intent to let them know they were in the presence of a greater one.
No one said a word as Dasha walked up the stairs. The cats that ran amok did not once get in his way. The door to Daughter remained. He uttered the words of old and the door dissipated. Daughter awaited, seated on the hammock, elbow on her thigh and palm holding up her face.
