After consoling Rangiku, Mazuru returned to the Third Division.
Logically speaking, after establishing a formal relationship with Nanao, Nanao could have been transferred to the Third Division. They should have gone back long ago, but Shiba Kaien, the vice-captain of the Thirteenth Division invited him and his friends to stay in their house for a little longer and let them treat them as guest. So they ended up staying at Shiba's house in Rukongai for a few more days at the kind invitation.
Before leaving, Uryuu asked Kaien to let him enter the Seireitei again for a while and came to the Third Division to find Mazuru.
