Chapter 309: Siege (4)
The players from Olympus somehow escaped the attack near the enemy’s castle. After losing a hundred and eighty-one players, the rest went back to their base, hoping Lila’s team would succeed.
But there was no news from them. In the end, everyone assumed they had died. What should have been an easy sweep had turned into a one-sided massacre and left a scar on their ego.
They knew if other players found out, life inside the tower would become miserable. The only way to make sure no one talked was to win the trial.
After taking a moment to calm down, the group came up with a new plan. They decided to wait it out. Since attacking the enemy was no longer an option, they chose to wait three days until the trial ended.
After the allotted time, the team with the most members still alive would win, so all they had to do was survive. Even though it wasn’t what Triton wanted, the players agreed on this plan because they didn’t have any other choice.
With an abundance of monsters to hunt and water from the river, they were confident in surviving the test. However, things were about to get worse for them.
On the first day, everything went fine. They had food, water, and shelter. But on the second day, those who went to fetch water didn’t come back.
They sent a group of seven to find them, but they didn’t return either. Something was very wrong. So, half of their remaining group went to search for the missing people, only to find their bodies.
Someone had attacked them and left their bodies bizarrely hanging from the nearby trees. Everyone in the group was stunned, their eyes wide with shock.
