Chapter 196: Super Rookie (2)
The lobby was already busy, but that didn’t stop the guild scouters from pouring in like a flood. From seeing the emblems they wore proudly on their sleeves, one could know what guild they belonged to.
It was not like anyone had the time to give them special treatment, so most of them went unnoticed.
Once inside, the scouts immediately made a beeline for the reception. Usually, only three receptionists worked there at any given time, but due to the overwhelming number of calls and queries they were receiving, their number had to be increased to twenty.
But that didn’t stop the scouters from interrupting them.
"Excuse me," one scouter said, leaning over the counter. We need to know Adrian and his team’s whereabouts. It’s urgent."
"Just a moment, please," the young lady said, placing the call on hold and giving the scouter a form to fill.
"What is this?" the scouter asked, not looking at the paper. "I’d like to know where they are-"
"Mr Fenrir and his team left the premises right after their tests were completed," the receptionist bluntly replied. "Before leaving, he asked every scout, no matter the guild, to fill out this form and submit it back here.
He’d go through the list and contact the guilds later if he thinks the application is worth it."
The scouters were left puzzled. They were used to handing out forms to those who wanted to join them and take interviews, but it seemed Adrian wanted to take their interviews instead.
As humiliating as the situation was for the guilds, they had to swallow their pride, as Adrian was a fish any fisherman would want at all costs. But some were insistent, like Michaela from the Misty Swords Guild.
