Countless notifications flooded before Adrian’s eyes, but he couldn’t pay attention to them as he was preoccupied with his ongoing test. It was pretty easy to face the creatures until now, but Adrian felt things were about to change.

He was in a simulation room with many people watching. There were the girls, but then James, Mei, and countless people from the DRA were also spectating him.
The trial was simple. The DRA’s simulation would create monsters for him to fight. The more matches he wins, the higher his final rank would be.
The test was eerily similar to how the Tulkas sorted their slaves. Upon remembering them, Adrian couldn’t help but grit his teeth. Even after so many days, he was still reminded of that bloody night when his fellow heroes were killed so mercilessly by those bastards.
’No... don’t go down that path,’ Adrian thought, placing a hand on his chest.
As much as he wanted to know what happened to Vincent and the rest, there was no point dwelling on that. They were realms apart, and so far, Adrian had no plans of returning to that wretched place.
