Chapter 104: Familiar (2)
After walking for a few minutes, they finally arrived at the place where the Tiaks were kept and trained. It was the first time Adrian had seen so many of them freely running around, as the last time he had been there, they had been locked within their sectors.
There were Tiaks of a variety of colours, ranging from the deepest shade of black to the alluring white. Moreover, each Tiak had its unique abilities and characteristics, making it a formidable force.
While Adrian was looking at the majestic creatures, a loud barking noise was heard from the room’s far end. He turned around and saw three enormous wolves fighting with a handful of men.
Their jaws looked fearsome as they tried to bite one of the men but failed as another tribal member jumped between, pushing the beast away. Upon a closer look, Adrian realised it was Ahuli.
"They are all wild beasts. We still need to tame them," Skaha pointed at the wolves with his staff when he noticed Adrian’s gaze on them. "Primal wolves... extremely resilient creatures. A bit more dangerous than conventional direwolves."
He continued, "Even the most experienced hunters have a hard time taming them. With their razor-sharp fangs and unmatched strength, these wolves are a force to be reckoned with, as you can see."
Another beast lunged to bite someone and almost got away with it as well, but instead, Ahuli whipped it.
"It wouldn’t have been much of a problem if we could somehow tame their leader, as the other two are following his lead," Skaha continued, ignoring the commotion. "But as you can see, we’ve had little success taming them."
"The leader?" Suhi asked while his eyes were still focused on the wolves.
