Chapter 39: The Beginning!
Early morning on September 20th.
The lights were still on in the office of the special investigation team at the Jingling City Police Department.
All seven members of the special investigation team, including Kang Shuwei, remained at their workstations. No one had left.
They were still looking at the surveillance videos in front of them.
Beside each person's computer screen were two empty instant noodle cups.
Lunch and dinner had passed without any of them leaving their screens for even five minutes.
Their work was coming to an end.
Despite this, Kang Shuwei's complexion was not good.
They had already spent over a dozen hours watching surveillance videos from a total of ten out of the twelve schools.
But they had yet to see any trace of Li Xuan.
He was even starting to doubt himself. Had Li Xuan really gone to a school? Was September 1st just a smokescreen he left for them?
