The Forsaken Heir's Ascension

Chapter 157- Frozen Hell

Frozen Hell was no mere region—it was vast, a landmass comparable to a continent.

It had several zones:

• At its heart rose ice mountains, thickly crowded and so tall they seemed to touch the skies.

• Surrounding the mountains was a barren snowfield—flat, empty, like a white desert. Here, avalanches swept the land like sandstorms, and only the most tenacious monsters crossed it.

• Beyond the plain was the Frozen Dark Forest—an impossibly dense woodland where trees, sheathed in ice and snow, clustered together so tightly that even sunlight rarely passed through.

• And farthest out lay the outskirts, where mountains and forest mingled. It was here that the highest concentration of monsters thrived.

Far beyond the outskirts stood the formidable Ice Fort City, surrounded by a wall as tall as a mountain and thicker than one.Ice Fort was the first line of defense to the west of Ice Phoenix City—a brutal stronghold stationed at the cruelest frontline of them all.

Deep inside the city walls, a circular chamber sat dimly lit, its light coming from warm yellow stones embedded into the icy walls. At the center of the chamber stood a round marble-like table, its surface fused to the floor like a natural part of the chamber. Around it, several wooden chairs stood ready—waiting for the war council to begin. On the wooden chairs arranged around the chamber, several figures sat in silence, all dressed in sky-blue uniforms. A little apart from the rest sat Marshal Sebeth, her crystal badge shimmering softly in the faint golden light.

The five Junior Marshals seated around her each exuded the faint aura of a Pseudo Saint—a testament to their strength. All but one were women. The lone male among them was a lanky man, with a cold aura, long black hair, and a sharp, elongated face. He sat quietly near Marshal Sebeth.Sebeth’s piercing eyes moved from one face to another before she spoke, her voice steady and solemn.

"As you all know by now, we’re facing a greater threat than expected. A draconic humanoid monster—Sage-level—has appeared."

A wave of grim understanding passed through the room as they nodded in silence. The man near Sebeth leaned forward slightly."Marshal, please forgive my impertinence... but—are we certain?"
