Chapter 151- Ambush Beneath the Snow
Alex and Selene both nodded and followed behind Hans and Hook, moving smoothly with their newly learned Ice Steps.Hati followed silently, a shadow in the snow. The wolf’s ears twitched with every sound, more alert than the humans ahead of him.
They soon reached the base of a towering mountain. Its jagged icy edges cut into the sky, disappearing above the clouds. Near one side, frost-covered trees clung to the slope, their branches heavy with snow.
Hook pointed and said in a low voice, "Avoid the trees. A little shake and all that snow could bury you alive."
They kept walking, searching.Nothing.No tracks. No monster signs. No broken trees or blood trails. The ice was untouched. Pristine.Which was... unusual.
As the dim light faded and night crept in, silence wrapped around them like a blanket. Only the rustle of branches and the eerie howl of the wind accompanied them.
Hans pulled out a yellow gem and held it up. A warm golden glow spread out from it, casting flickering light on the frozen ground. He leaned close to Hook, whispering, "Eh, Hook. Let’s rest here for the night, eh?"Hook nodded, waved his hand, and a dome of ice materialized in front of them—an igloo, perfectly shaped.
Alex and Selene’s eyes widened. They hadn’t expected shelter creation to be that simple.
All of them crawled in through a narrow opening. Hook sealed it behind them. Inside, the yellow stone’s glow made the dome feel surprisingly cozy. There was no need for a fire.
Alex, always curious, pointed at the glowing stone."What are these stones? I’ve seen them everywhere—green, blue, yellow... each one seems different."
