Without a word, the two women stood and departed, their faces emotionless.

Vireya emerged from the basement, the air thick with tension, Serene following closely behind. Moonlight filtered through the mist as her pale feet touched the grass for the first time in over a decade. Without a word, she strode toward the castle’s tallest spire.
