Rina’s eyes sharpened like blades.
Elemental power surged through her legs, crackling into the ground.
A spike of stone erupted beneath the madwoman, impaling her through the chest.

Her kitchen knife fell to the floor.
Clang.
Blood poured from her mouth as her wide eyes locked with Rina’s.
With a flick of Rina’s trembling hand, the spike vanished.
Thud.
