Chapter 4 - 3: The system
In the blood forest where the air carried a faint iron scent, and the rustling leaves sounded like whispers-warning any intruder to turn back.
The Safrion tribe in their Bloody Haven Village, went about their day as usual, from adults to children as small as 4, and everyone carried at least one weapon on them.
Even if not everyone's main role was combat, they learned how to fight and use their bodies to survive there.
As part of that, there were the hunting squads, which would send hunters out to the forest, and their job was to bring back food, eliminate threats, and explore the surrounding areas.
One such team was led by Kriantis' father, Karos Oxalith, who is currently a captain meeting with the Commander.
Carrying a wide smile and his greatsword on his back, he stood there in the commander's office while his team waited outside.
"There you are... Late again, Captain Oxalith." The commander was a red-haired man with a serious expression and a scar going from his forehead's top to the end of his cheek.
"Sorry Commander! My wife just gave birth to my 5th child, and my second son." Karos replied full of pride to the point of bragging.
"Good job, if we had more men like you Captain, maybe the village wouldn't fear crises like this one anymore." The redhead commander nodded as he spoke.
"Thank you, Commander. I don't plan to stop at all." Karos answered while he knocked his fists one on the other twice above, and twice below.
"Then what's the case with this child? Any hunter potential or is it too early to say on this one?" The redhead commander questioned pulling parchment and being ready to write things down.
