Chapter 96: The Moon
The formation of the canal was very simple and effective. Kael had the twins start digging not far from the river so that the pressure of water from upstream wouldn’t disturb their work.
Then, they made the pathway according to the map Alpha made, which included the best path the canal could take in this environment.
That pathway was then connected to the river further downstream, and Kael didn’t bother leaving some distance behind and directly let the canal connect with the river.
After all, the river was going downstream, and the shape of the canal was also such that only the upper stream could carry water downstream, not the other way around.
So even if some of the water had entered the canal at the end, it didn’t really affect their plans or anything.
Now, all of them were standing at the small piece of land that stood between the vast, overflowing river and the newly built canal.
Kael crossed his arms over his chest and smiled, "So, who wanna do this?"
"Of course, as the leader, you should do the starting, Master," Jon spoke with a low gurgle.
Kiona tapped on her chin and suggested, "How about you let them do it, Master? I mean, it’s them who did most of the physical work, after all. You can do the opening of our town later on."
"Nah, that’s something you’ll do," Kael waved his hand and turned towards the twins. "So, who among you wanna do it?"
Seth took two steps back and said, "I will let this hot-headed guy do it."
