Chapter 93: Anchors
With his new guesses on the Gods, Kael felt that many things made sense. It also provided him a way to fight them, but of course, he knew how ridiculous it sounded.
If he tried to harm their faith, he might receive a meteor on his nation all of a sudden. He could actually see that happening, as he didn’t have any divinity to protect him.
Draven’s chuckle brought him out of his thoughts as he answered Kael’s question.
[Not quite right but also not wrong. Faith is one of the main reasons as to why they are Gods. But it’s a different matter on achieving that divinity. It plays a part, but it isn’t the main ingredient.]
’Hmm, well, at least I have gotten one part right so I can work on that. As for the others, I’ll probably end up dead before finding them,’ Kael chuckled.
[That’s true. From what I’ve observed of the current world, they’ve erased most of the history related to achieving divinity. Perhaps there’s a reason behind it, perhaps not.]
Kael raised an eyebrow and asked, ’You don’t know about it?’
[I’m just not sure about it because they’ve erased it even from the Astral World. It seems something serious happened while I was sealed away which led to them destroying that.]
’Probably the War of the Fourth Epoch?’ Kael guessed. ’It’s said Gods used to walk on land but they stopped after the War of the Fourth Epoch.’
[Yes, it’s definitely related to that. Anyways, try to keep your curiosity in check, boy. There are things in this world that you simply can’t bear to know. The knowledge about Gods’ existence and their Anchors isn’t something weaklings like you should know.]
’I guessed that much after almost dying,’ Kael sighed, but then questioned, ’But I don’t understand something. It’s not like I’m some high-IQ individual that only I can come to this conclusion, right? What about others?’
