Chapter 60: Murals of Tharnyx
The Nether Wolf’s self-destruction flooded the hall with lava, as all the wildmutts disappeared alongside the boss. The lava also began to slowly vanish into thin air, leaving a perfectly dark hall behind.
Amidst this darkness, Kael’s group stood upright because of their flames. That also saved them from the hot lava, as their resistance towards anything with the fire element was exceptionally high.
It was especially true for Kiona, who possessed an Epic-Stage Fire Affinity. This lava was different from the lava lake, so she easily fended it off without any harm.
Standing near the altar, Kael stared at the spot where the Nether Wolf had self-destructed and once again realized the importance of Evolution and the effectiveness of his Ultimate Skill.
After all, the only reason they were able to defeat the Boss and its Minions so easily was because of the changes their Evolution had brought.
Not to mention how Kiona used one of his skills to defeat the enemies. Regarding that, Kael wasn’t really surprised as he had already given permission to Alpha to grant the majority of his skills to her when the bond between them had deepened.
’Finally, we can move on to the second floor,’ Kael thought, feeling the rush of Soul Power. The Nether Wolf gave much more than any of the monsters he had slain till now.
’Before that, this hall might have something of Tharnyx,’ Kael thought as he looked around.
It was the Boss Room, so Kael was sure that if Tharnyx had plans of leaving anything behind, he would definitely use the Boss’s room.
