Chapter 36 - 34: That Moment You Realize You’re the Filler Character in His Story
"Garou's learning ability is incredible. He already understands quite a bit of sealing techniques," Kakashi finally spoke, his voice quiet but filled with genuine astonishment.
He didn't elaborate on just how much of a genius Garou truly was. It was the kind of brilliance that surpassed explanation, something that couldn't be measured with simple rank or training time. And even if he tried to explain it, few would believe him.
It was better to let actions speak louder than words.
"So... Kakashi, how do you suggest we alter the barrier on our side?" Chiruki asked with a furrowed brow, hands clasped behind his back, the sun glinting off his shaved head as the wind stirred his temple robes.
Garou paused, fingers lightly tapping the sealing scroll tucked into his belt. His eyes focused thoughtfully. "I'm not fully familiar with your temple's barrier technique, so I can't offer a perfectly tailored solution. But if I had to suggest something... perhaps you could add a secondary, smaller layer around the statue. And ideally, the core of the technique should be buried beneath the ground, hidden from view."
"Layered?" Chiruki, who had trained in the fundamentals of barrier techniques, especially the Sealed Iron Wall, frowned. He turned over the idea in his head, his brow furrowed deeper.
But then his eyes lit up with realization.
It could actually work.
While it would require some restructuring of the sacred ground, layering another formation around the base wouldn't be as difficult as overhauling the entire Sealed Iron Wall.
And considering the sacred statue's importance, this could significantly enhance its protection.
Garou didn't press the matter. He simply added, "It may not even be necessary to modify the main barrier. The monks of the Fire Temple are formidable. There aren't many shinobi alive who can threaten this place."
