Chapter 169 - 167: Picking Up the Child
The Spirit Trees initially planted had dropped some seeds that grew into branches, which were then transplanted to several farms. There are still many branches that have not been planted yet.
Xue Dong was arranging for employees to plant these Spirit Tree branches in the residential area built by the base, to be used for landscaping. This would indirectly improve the environment of the residential area, turning it into a high-end neighborhood from which everyone could benefit.
The final wave of autumn harvest had ended, and various crops were being continuously shipped out. The weather was getting colder. Xue Dong, dragging Zhang Qi along, hurried to transplant the Spirit Tree branches retrieved from the warehouse into the residential area. After transferring Wood Power for a period, they would revive by next spring.
Most of the trees planted in the residential area were Spirit Trees, originally just a few transplanted branches. They picked up the surplus branches that could still survive, not wanting to waste them as these Spirit Trees had been purchased with money.
Thinking they should make use of them, Xue Dong and Zhang Qi decided to plant them in the green belts of the newly built residential area. With batch after batch planted, many had already taken root. They planned to plant more next spring, which would make the residential area look nicer as the green belts grew, lush and beautiful.
They planned to plant some flowers as well, but that would have to wait until next year since it was already too late this year; the weather had turned cold.
The residential area was shaping up nicely, and many outsiders were envious.
However, now it was not possible for outsiders to enter the residential area, as it was guarded and entry required a pass card.
The kindergarten teachers had also been rehired, two of whom were family members of employees and already had teaching certificates, and two were recruited from outside.
The kindergarten was planned to be a five-year program, with classes for toddlers, middle, and upper levels, ending with a preschool class where simple knowledge like literacy and arithmetic would be taught in advance.
