Mr. Yu "fell ill", and Yijin and Yixiu, the siblings, went to the door of their teacher’s bedroom to ask after his health and inquire if he needed a doctor.

Yixiu gave him a look, thinking that the little boy was getting more and more cunning.
When they returned to Wangjiang Building, Cheng Yue was still resting; now she would get up just after Si Hour began. The siblings did not go upstairs but instead played with Monkey Brother and Monkey Sister downstairs, mainly Yijin playing while Yixiu was lost in thought.
Probably after Si Hour, Cheng Yue came downstairs for breakfast. The breakfast had already been set on the table: a bowl of bird’s nest porridge, two steamed dumplings, a piece of scallion pancake, and an egg. The nourishing breakfast set by Yixiu for their mother changed daily, and she made sure Cheng Yue finished it all.
