The wedding of Gu Meng had ended, and Shitou and Lu Yun naturally couldn’t linger just for the sake of Chen Qiuyu’s situation even if they wanted to; they simply didn’t have the time to waste. "Isn’t it because you discipline the child too strictly? He’s only a few years old. Can’t you take it easy and go slow? Hoping for your child to succeed isn’t done in such a way." Xia Yuan chastised Lu Yun as she watched Pei Yi follow Lu Jinsheng out, beaming with delight.
"That’s so unfair. You don’t know how cunning he can be. He’s just putting on a pitiful act on purpose because he knows you will defend him unconditionally. If he dared to do this at home, he would have already eaten a serving of bamboo shoots and meat by now."
