"Exactly, let’s just grab our luggage and go. Why would we need water? Didn’t we already have drinks on the plane?" Gu Tianming’s older brother immediately chimed in, as the others nodded repeatedly in haste.
Once the luggage was collected, Gu Tianming was slightly taken aback. It was too little; a dozen people had brought only three suitcases in total, one per family. Gu Tianming’s parents were even more straightforward, bringing nothing at all with them.
"I remember the last time I stayed here with your dad, we left some clothes at your place. Since we have clothes at home, it would be superfluous to lug all that extra stuff around," Mother Gu said, seeing Gu Tianming staring blankly at the luggage. She snorted coldly, "Your wife hasn’t thrown out our things, has she? Hmph--"
Although Mother Gu didn’t say "I knew she was no good," that one cold snort was enough to make her meaning perfectly clear.
