"Mom, you guys arrived so quickly. When did you get here? And you didn’t even let me and Shitou know to pick you up from the airport." The next day, as soon as Lu Yun woke up and opened her eyes, she saw Xia Yuan sitting by her bed. She was startled for a moment before joyfully pouncing on her and hugging her neck playfully.
"Pick up what airport? We’re not visiting someone’s home, and it’s not our first time here. Do we really need to be that formal? Besides, who would dare to tire you out in your current condition?" Xia Yuan patted her back with a smile.
"I’m not some delicate porcelain doll that breaks easily. Don’t they say that pregnant women need to exercise more? Why is everyone suddenly making such a big fuss over me?"
