Chapter 94: Alliance of Two Friendly Companions
Lu Aiguo incessantly lamented. Second Uncle was such a shrewd man, why did he become so simple-minded when it came to his fourth brother, so much so that he had to make his words so clear?
This is why Shitou was more likable. He didn’t need to waste so many words; Shitou would understand his meaning immediately. But what could he do when the person in front of him was his fourth brother? He could only patiently teach him more.
"Since we want someone to help us take revenge from behind the scenes, shouldn’t we show some goodwill first?"
A smile appeared on Second Uncle’s face as he continued to walk forward slowly and leisurely.
"Isn’t it just that I didn’t think of it for a moment? If you didn’t mention it, I would have thought of it eventually," Lu Aibing muttered under his breath, feeling wronged.
"Don’t agree?"
Now he felt even more wronged? Lu Aiguo looked at Lu Aibing with a smile that wasn’t quite a smile. He had never had as much patience with Aibing as he had with Lu Aijiao and Lu Aimei. When they were children, the two of them had fought countless times behind the scenes before finally forming what was now a solid "two-man group alliance of friendship."
"How would I dare?" Lu Aibing couldn’t help but retort. He had known since childhood just how "dark-hearted and ruthless" his third brother was. Even when they fought outside, he had never seen him yield.
Yet, upon returning home, in front of their parents, he could switch to a facade that suggested they were close enough to share a pair of pants. Every time their mother lavishly praised his third brother, and he felt wronged and wanted to retort forcefully, his mother would believe his third brother over him. And if he didn’t play along with his third brother’s act and gave the game away, he would inevitably end up getting a beating afterward.
Fortunately, when united against outsiders, his third brother never let him suffer a loss. If it weren’t for the fact that his third brother’s reputation was particularly effective and even tough guys several years older than him didn’t dare to bully him because of it, he wouldn’t have gradually become more and more willing to respect his third brother.
