The sound of Rex’s grappling hook echoed faintly above them.

The second floor trembled beneath their feet as Eaters began pouring in like a rising tide. The once-bloody battlefield was now pristine restored tiles, flickering LED lights, fake mall music. It looked clean. But the death rolling in was very real.
The shieldbearer stood frozen, He muttered.
"Shit... he really left us."
The spearwoman clutched her dangling arm, jaw clenched, sweat pouring down her face.
"I can’t believe this! After we came here for him, and now he will left us. Fucking shit!"
Her voice cracked—half bitterness, half fear.
"We should have eatern and drink more."
