Chapter 294: Feel defeated
Ryan immediately snickered the moment Jane’s direction of anger turned from him towards Liam and he couldn’t help but equally turned to Liam as he gave him a look of provocation, as if telling him he was going to see how he was going to get out of the situation.
Liam had actually flinched because he didn’t expect Ryan to bring up such a sensitive topic, and as soon as Jane shouted his name, the man had immediately leaped and was by the side of her bed, holding her hand as he pampered her face with kisses.
"Baby, I already told you, that’s not it. You know how much I love you. How can I give up on such a beautiful, intelligent, wonderful, fantastic woman? How dare I?"
"Baby, don’t you see? Ryan knows that you’re not feeling well, and he’s still bringing past sensitive topics. He’s still trying to hard to hurt you and yet he is your brother! Baby. I feel bad on your behalf."
Liam immediately jumped into the role of comforting his wife because he was not ready to be the direction of her anger, only for the man to be met with a pair of angry glaring green eyes as Jane was not ready to listen to him.
Ryan was standing by the corner, laughing as he watched how his brother-in-law tried to unstuck himself from the mud that he had just dug for himself but all this immediately came to a stop the moment Liam whispered something into Jane’s ear and the girl’s anger immediately disappeared as she turned to look at her brother, her eyes glazing with anger.
"Hey! what did you say to her?"
Ryan was busy trying to figure out what Liam had said to Jane, but the moment he saw the pink tips on Jane’s ears, the man couldn’t help but show an expression of gagging.
"Liam, that’s not fair. You’re trying to use sex to seduce my sister? Shame on you!"
"I mean, she’s my wife. What else do you want me to use, huh? What do you use on Chloe when you want to bail yourself out?"
Liam left Jane’s hands as he got Cross closer to Ryan and whispered the statement to him, not intending to let Jane hear him because he would be in trouble if so, only to earn a glare from Ryan because the man was absolutely right.
