Chapter 239: Dissapointment
After Mary underwent a rollercoaster of emotions, everyone else in the room changed their minds after finally getting her point, making them start to consider different ways to finally end Anna’s support, pleasing Mary greatly.
After their meeting, everyone started dispersing but one particular person was unusually quiet. Jane noticed Liam’s mood and as much as she wanted to speak one or two things with him, his current mood ended up pushing her away, making her sulk in her car seat as she waited for him to take them home or wherever he was going.
Liam on the other hand was going through a bunch of emotions all at once. He felt like a disappointment, the biggest failure to exist and it is at that point that he finally gave into the negative emotions that were badly trying to consume him.
His grip on the steering wheel tightened as he suddenly stopped the car, pushing Jane forward since she forgot to put on her seatbelt making her scream in pain but the man was too far gone to even notice what he had done.
"What on..Wooah Liam! Slow the fuck down!" She screamed on top of her lungs when Liam changed the direction of their destination, heading to the Lu mansion but in a terrifying speed.
All this while he could only think on how he was such a disappointment and a weakling before his own woman, not being able to even protect her!
They luckily arrived safely but Jane’s heart was still beating fast due to the shock she just received but if she thought the shock was over then she was mistaken.
Liam immediately got out of the car after he came to a stop and went to the other side, taking Jane with him into the mansion, trying to ignore her ’rant’ and the visible bump on her head in the fear of being gentle again and aborting his plan.
"Liam.. What..?" Mother Lu was trying to form a proper sentence when she saw the two youngsters march in. The other members were also trying to figure out what was not happening, including Chloe and Ryan who chose to spend the night in the Lu mansion.
