Chapter 204: Karma
Mary cleared her mind before a maid knocked on her door to inform her to head down for a meal. She didn’t think much on the fact that the time for meals had suddenly been divided into two by her in laws. If only she knew they had a hint she might be pregnant, not forgetting the fact that they already knew of her secret identity!
On Mark and Lisa’s side, after the two left the Award’s ceremony, the man couldn’t keep still when he noticed his girl’s expression. He knew that Lucas was her ex and he was afraid she was going to be triggered after seeing Lucas having sex with the same girl whom they conived with to kill her.
"Are you okay love?" He asked in a low voice as he drove towards his own house. Lisa nodded before giving him a reply. The man sighed in relief but upon noticing that her expression didn’t change, he became worried that he had to pack the car on the side of the road to truly confirm if she was okay.
"I am okay Mark, stop worrying too..hmmph.." She didn’t finish her sentence when a pair of lips sealed her beautiful ones. The kiss was kind of rough and gentle at the same time and she could tell that Mark had some fear especially due to the presence of her ex and at the same time, she could tell that the man was trying to comfort himself that she was okay.
Mark didn’t let her go until they were out of breath and that is when he stopped but before he could say a thing, the girl cupped his face before speaking.
"You should trust me when I tell you I am okay and before you argue back, no, I don’t have any feelings for them, it’s just that whatever they did still hurts whenever I see both of them but your woman is stronger than you think baby."
Mark smiled widely after hearing her words and to cheer her up he gave her a quick kiss before he drove off as fast as he can to go bake for her her favorite black forest cake.
After dating Lisa for long, he realised that his food really cheered her up no matter the circumstances and of course, he was a proud man knowing he can satisfy his woman in all ways even in the.. *cough* bed aspect because for them, they had already crossed this part a long time ago.
Everyone expect for editors and Rebecca’s right hand man had peacefully retired to their beds. These people were busy preparing to release juicy news in relation to Anna and before sunrise, different news splashed the internet about Anna Lu.
