Chapter 161: I pity you
Victoria could have sworn she had never felt that humiliated in her life but she did not have the power to give in easily as she was not ready to get humiliated before the whole country.
Father Mo walked up to Ian and gave him a hug as he nodded his head approvingly. "Your mother told me she is a pro.. probably better than you, congratulations son, I can finally see you settle down." He said to Ian who chuckled back as he happily hugged his father.
After a long period of hugging, mother Mo broke the hug as she stared at the cameras, all reporters keenly focusing on her since she wanted to address them but once in a while, some cameras could get a clear shot Victoria’s reaction.
"Hello country X. Today, I stand before you as a proud mother because I have finally seen my son take that one step I have been waiting to see for long." Mother Mo started her speech as everyone nodded along to her words because there were some parents in the crowd who actually knew how it felt to have their children finally marry or get married.
"I do not know where this nonsense is coming from but let me make it clear, and right now, I speak for the big five when I say we never care about a person’s background and before anyone thinks of coming at my daughter-in-law..." She stopped as she took Mary’s hand before continuing, "Think twice because she is going to put you in your proper lane, I mean better than my own son can... Hehe.. "
She finished her talk with a laugh as she excused her husband to speak. "I can only say that Ian Mo has is finally off the market and that the Mo family has found it’s new matriarch! Stay tuned for the weddi.." He didn’t finish his statement when Victoria once again spoke before leaving the place,
"I pity all of you because very soon, you are going to regret choosing this street rat over a proper heiress!" The girl stomped away mad but no one seemed to care about her threats. What everyone missed was the smirk on Mary’s face as she finished sending a text and putting her phone back in it’s proper position but this didn’t go unoticed to Ian who was in no way going to stop her at all.
