Chapter 148: Becoming his wife
"You asked for our blessings and you gladly have them and I believe that the whole of country X knows who is in Jane’s heart.. me.. her fiancé and her soon to be husband..."
Liam could have sworn that he has never been proud before, never this confident even when securing his business deals.
The man smiled widely as he placed the microphone on the podium and carried Jane bridal style as he headed for their seats.
On stage, Anna cleared her throat as she smiled slightly.
"Ahem.. well the whole country has now seen, Edward is only mine. You are all free to mingle and catch some food." She put down the microphone as she stormed down the stage but no one seemed to care as the people immediately started interacting while The Chen couple pulled Edward aside for a talk.
"Son, why did you let her do that? Don’t you see the effects of her actions?"
Mr Chen spoke as he tried to control his shaking hands.
"I honestly don’t know dad, this is not the right time to get mad at me, I am just so confused!"
Edward spoke as he ran his hands on his hair out of frustration.
"I felt alot of pain seeing Jane kiss Liam, hearing her say she loves him..Aaargh!"
Edward finished his statement only to meet a weird stare from his parents.
