Chapter 27: Discovery
Ryan was all for it.
He didn’t want any big shake-ups to mess with the life in Fontdmer Town he’d just gotten comfortable with.
For the other hunter, he picked his daughter Aleya.
Aleya was a master at staying hidden—perfect for scouting ahead of Thane and giving him the heads up on any trouble.
"But I’d like to push back departure by a week. Your lordship’s leather armor is almost done."
Thane was happy to go along with Ryan’s suggestion.
He wasn’t in any rush, so he patiently stuck around the smithy working iron and checking on the fields now and then.
It didn’t even take a week—on the fifth day, Ryan delivered a leather chest piece to Thane.
"I was pressed for time, so there’s no fancy stuff. Hope you don’t mind."
"It doesn’t need fancy stuff. It’s already gorgeous."
The dark blue dragon scales layered seamlessly, fitting together perfectly and gleaming with a metallic shine.
