The Supreme Soldier in the City

Chapter 611 - 630: This Big Pit Is Really Not Small

Emily Lopez said angrily, "What are you doing, really? Are we going to live like this?"

James Brown glared and said, "Nonsense, why wouldn’t we? Am I not the boss? Don’t we have money to spend?"

Lucy Campbell quickly said, "I still have seventy thousand dollars, which should at least get us by for a while. It’s rare for my husband to play so excitingly, let’s not kill his buzz."

Emily Lopez said a bit angrily, "How can we spoil him like this?"

Charles Goodman and Robert Johnson saw Emily and Lucy talking like that, which made them even more frustrated. That guy is just plain lucky to have two beauties with him. If he were a big boss or someone with status, it would be understandable, but James Brown is clearly just a lousy security guard. Why does he get to have this? It’s infuriating.

"Damn it, stop dawdling, hurry up," Charles Goodman couldn’t help but curse.

James Brown slapped the table and said, "Waiter, didn’t you hear me calling you?"

The waiter quickly brought a card reader, and Emily Lopez had already unwillingly swiped one million dollars from the card in James Brown’s hand.

James Brown took the chips and immediately bet fifty thousand, his eyes red as he said, "Come on, who’s afraid of who?"

Charles Goodman and Robert Johnson exchanged a glance, both showing joy, and then continued to gamble with James Brown. During this time, they also exchanged for chips, and seeing James’ chips decreasing, his face getting redder, and sweat pouring, both were very happy. If one of them were gambling against James, James probably would’ve looked at the cards by now. But in this situation, James had no chance to look at the cards and could only grit his teeth and follow along.

Until James had bet all his one million, Robert Johnson felt it was about enough and said, "Alright, it’s almost done now; let’s not gamble anymore. Let’s see who has the biggest hand."

Charles Goodman wasn’t satisfied with just having won all of James Brown’s money, so he said with a smirk, "There are still three players; how can we do that? I suggest, James, we raise the stakes. If you lose, how about you let me have fun with your wife and mistress for two days?"
