Chapter 594 - 613: Cousin Visits
John Brown looked around the company this afternoon. He hasn’t spent much time in the company lately, so he needed to understand the security situation here. Although this isn’t a place that particularly requires security protection, the safety of the company’s property is quite important. This puzzled the other security guards since John Brown had never been this serious since taking over as the manager of the security department. They wondered what had gotten into him today.

Of course, this applied to public places; offices still needed some privacy. However, full coverage in the corridors would be enough to leave traces of people entering and exiting the offices.
While drafting what needed to be added in the office, outside came a burst of excited male cheers.
"Secretary Smith, why are you here?"
"It’s been so long! I heard from Manager Johnson that you went off to pursue bigger opportunities. You must be developing quite well."
Hearing this, John Brown knew Lucy Campbell had arrived. Otherwise, there wouldn’t be such a lively reaction. Thinking of Lucy Campbell, John Brown suddenly understood why he had become so serious about the company’s security. This company belonged to Lucy Campbell, and after developing such a close relationship with her, he unconsciously started to think of her as his own, naturally treating her company as his own and becoming more earnest about it.
At this moment, the door opened. Lucy Campbell came to his office led by two security guards, dressed casually in autumn attire, her hands behind her back. She smiled at John Brown and said, "Cousin, I’m here to see you."
John Brown smiled and said, "Why aren’t you at work? What are you doing here?"
"Just taking a couple of days off, so I naturally wanted to see you. What are you doing, so serious?" Lucy Campbell came up behind John Brown and casually placed her right hand on his shoulder, peeking at what he was working on.
John Brown lightly patted the back of Lucy Campbell’s hand and said, "I’m enhancing the company’s security."
Lucy Campbell responded with excitement, "Really, cousin, you’re quite serious about work now."
