The Supreme Soldier in the City

Chapter 584 - 602 Emily Lopez’s Care

John Brown returned to his home, took off his pants, and put on a pair of large shorts. Even though his Martial Arts Skills were strong enough, this small injury wouldn’t really hurt him, but after all, they were wounds, especially when they just scabbed over. When walking, the pants would scratch against them, making it really painful. At times like this, when he wasn’t on a battlefield or in any danger, he didn’t have to suffer this pain. Of course, it was more comfortable to rest at home.

As he lay on the couch watching TV, his mind involuntarily drifted back to last night’s events, a scene that was truly unforgettable. Although extremely absurd, it was incredibly tantalizing, really something to savor.

From last night’s events, John Brown was completely certain about his feelings for Lucy Campbell, with no more doubt. Yet, coincidentally, he ended up in such a situation with Lucy Campbell. Her figure repeatedly emerged in his mind, impossible to forget.

"Sigh, forget it, if Lucy doesn’t want to make it clear, then let’s just keep it ambiguous." After much consideration, John Brown concluded that to manage his relationship with Lucy Campbell well, it seemed better to continue playing dumb. If things were openly discussed, it wouldn’t just be difficult for Lucy Campbell, but also for Gina Lopez.

Gina Lopez had a competitive mindset with other women, but facing Lucy Campbell, the number one beauty of SSUP Country, who had shown her kindness, the decisions she would make were hard to predict. John Brown now admitted to himself that he increasingly saw Gina Lopez as a good wife, and he really couldn’t decide to replace her. Melody Yoody, his first love, couldn’t make him, nor could Emily Berns, who gave him a daughter, or even Lucy Campbell, despite her elevated status and deep affection for him.

The sound of a key in the lock came, and then Sandra rushed in, taking off her shoes while anxiously asking, "Brother-in-law, what’s wrong with you?"

John Brown smiled and said, "It’s nothing, just your sister overreacting and calling you back."

Sandra didn’t even bother putting on slippers, she took off her shoes and ran to John Brown’s side. Seeing the various sizes of wounds on John Brown’s leg, her eyes instantly reddened. She sat next to him, choking up as she said, "Brother-in-law, does it hurt?"

Sandra’s reaction touched John Brown deeply. This was family love. When you’re hurt, she genuinely worries and feels sad for you. He quickly smiled and said, "It doesn’t hurt anymore. Brother-in-law isn’t that delicate."

"You’re lying, with so many wounds, it must hurt a lot." Sandra glared at John Brown and wanted to touch his leg, but was afraid of hurting him. Her careful and concerned demeanor allowed John Brown to see another side of Sandra.

Sandra was usually a girl who needed others’ care at home, pampered by her parents. Even though Gina Lopez often argued with her, she still coddled her. As a Brother-in-law, John Brown spoiled her even more, allowing Sandra to do whatever she wanted at home as if she didn’t consider others. But now John Brown realized Sandra was a kind-hearted girl, just that she didn’t have the chance to show it often.

"Oh dear, there are injuries on the back of your leg too, how can you lie like this?" Sandra said, pulling a cushion, then gently lifted John Brown’s foot and placed the cushion under it.
