Gina Lopez came home in the evening, relieved to see the family having a good time together. John Brown once again showed off his skills, making the in-laws smile with satisfaction.
"Gina, James, it’s Mr. Davis’s birthday this weekend, why don’t you join us?" Jonathan Lopez said casually, his face flushed though he hadn’t drunk much.
"What?" Gina Lopez and John Brown both exclaimed in surprise.
Jonathan Lopez was startled and stared at them, "What’s the matter with you two? Mr. Davis is Little Lin’s father, someone you know, and an old comrade of mine. It’s only polite for you to show up."
Gina Lopez quickly replied, "Dad, I’m so busy at work, where do I find the time?"
"It’s fine to be busy on weekdays, but what’s keeping you busy on the weekend?" Jonathan Lopez waved impatiently, "This time, everyone is bringing their family. If you don’t go, I’ll really lose face."
Gina Lopez’s mouth twitched, "But Dad, the company is really swamped right now, I can’t take time off."
"If you can’t get away, that’s fine. I know you’re the boss, but James can surely join us, right? Let James accompany us."
Gina Lopez hurriedly said, "No way, James is also very busy. When I go to work on the weekend, he has to take care of Emily."
"We’ll take Emily with us."
